Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

I came to this store because it didn't seem like a big box store like Kroger or Walmart, and they had a decent selection of items. The problem I have is the sale practice. I don't know if this was an accident or intentional, but I was overcharged on a sale item. I didn't check my receipt before I left because I had a loaner car on a time restriction and had to return it soon. I am from out of town and don't know when or if I will be able to return. I am disappointed that it happened in the first place. I did save .69¢ because she scanned a card since I am not a member, but that didn't save me what I lost. Every dollar matters these days, as well as honesty and integrity. You only have one chance to make a lasting impression, and since this was my first visit to this retailer, it was not a good one.

They advertise that they sell various "That Pickle Guy" Olive Salad" products online. I live about 20 miles from the nearest Mariano's. They don't carry it after I searched for it and couldn't find it. I had the stock boy look it up and it wasn't listed and he never heard of it. Please be sure you sell products before advertising them.

It was relieving to see staff members with body jewelry. I have many piercings and am gender non confirming and do not get treated well most places. The service was filled with warm and kindness. I was not treated like a freak when I was just trying to spend money with my family, and that happens a lot. Thank you for the great service.

Second year in a row I designed a “custom cake” for my daughter’s birthday. Last year the writing wasn’t even centered to the cake and the letters were so close together you couldn’t read the writing so I had them redo it. Figured it happens so I ordered again this year. Cake looked like my daughter drew it and I made it myself. Such a shame because I walked over to the pre made cakes and they all looked so nice. Definitely don’t recommend taking the time to design your own “custom cake” waste of time. I refused the cake and I bought a different one. It’s a shame I can’t have my daughter’s name on the cake now but I don’t trust them to write on it again. Really disappointed. I’ll go to jewel from now on.
